PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOUR CHILD IS TAKING PART IN REMOTE LEARNING AND YOU HAVE RECEIVED A WARNING LETTER AND HAS NOT YET MET ALL REQUIRED VACCINATIONS BY NOVEMBER 11TH, YOUR CHILD WILL BE EXCLUDED FROM REMOTE LEARNING DUE TO INCOMPLETE SCHOOL IMMUNIZATIONS.

We have been notified that the testing provider will be at our school within the next week. Please note that only New York City public school students from grades 1-12 are eligible to be tested.

At this time if you have a student(s) who is currently in a fully remote learning model you now have an option to change to blended learning. This is the only opportunity a family will have when this will be permitted this school year.

We are reaching out to inform you our school will have an extended building closure on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 2. This will be a remote learning day for all. On TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3 it is Election Day and schools are all switching to remote learning on this day.

· Effective 10/30/2020, the school building will close for an initial 24 hours. All students will transition to fully remote learning for this period.

As a way to remember to make good choices around Halloween this weekend the NYC Department of Health wishes for you to remember some healthy tips and suggestions.

Breakfast and lunch are free for New York City public school students. Our school is still required to ask all families to complete the online form so our school can receive funding for the program as well as our school.

I'm taking this opportunity to share a letter from the NYC Department of Education regarding changes to grading policies for the 2020-21 school year which were just released. You may find the letter attached to this email or by going to the link below and finding the letter in English and other translated languages.

The NYC Test + Trace Corps and the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene have completed a thorough investigation and determined that the building is clear to reopen for regularly scheduled activities on Tuesday, October 27, 2020. Tuesday, October 27 is a GROUP A in-person learning day.
