Tuesday, November 3, 2026, will be a full day of instruction

Dear I.S. 24 Parents and Guardians,
Please be reminded that Tuesday, November 3, 2026, will be a full day of instruction taking place remotely.  The school day will take place during the normal school hours, 8:00 AM to 2:20 PM. Homeroom will still be used for Attendance purposes.
An attendance form will be sent out in the morning for students to fill out.  Attendance will be taken from 7:20 to 8:20 AM. 
Student Access to Instructional Materials:
Students will access their instructional materials and assignments through:
  • TeachHub (https://teachhub.schools.nyc)
  • Google Classroom
Students should know their NYCPS username and password and be able to log into TeachHub from home. Teachers will ensure that digital classrooms are established and that instructional materials are available online. 
Staggered Student Log-In Schedule
To help prevent system overload and ensure a smooth start to remote instruction, students will log in according to the following staggered schedule:
  • Grade 6: 8:20 a.m.
  • Grade 7: 8:30 a.m.
  • Grade 8: 8:35 a.m.
Students should log in to TeachHub and Google Classroom at their assigned time and follow the daily schedule provided by their teachers.
Attendance Expectations
Students are expected to participate in all scheduled remote learning activities, complete assignments, and engage in classroom instruction. 
Devices and Internet Access
Please ensure that your child has access to a charged device and a reliable internet connection for remote instruction.

Preparing Now
To ensure readiness, we encourage all families to:
  1. Verify that students can log into TeachHub.
  2. Confirm access to Google Classroom and other instructional platforms.
  3. Ensure devices are charged and functional.
  4. Update the school if internet access is unavailable at home.
  5. Review this information with your child.
