We are reaching out to inform you about a possible disruption to yellow bus service beginning in early November, and to share how we’re preparing to support you. We understand the importance of reliable transportation to your child’s education. If bus service is disrupted, our top priority is to ensure that every student can continue attending school without interruption.

Back by popular demand, our IS24 Sports Store is open now through November 5th!
We invite all our families to show their school spirit and support our sports programs by purchasing IS24 gear.

October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, a time to spotlight the importance of online safety—especially for children. To support this effort, a practical guide was created that provides tips and resources specifically designed to help parents safeguard their children on social media platforms and during online gaming. Please share the guide with families, either by printing and distributing it or by sharing it digitally. Note that the guide is available in all NYCPS languages and is available on the Cybersecurity Awareness Month page (under A Quick Guide for Parents in the Digital Age).

We are pleased to inform you that I.S. 24 is fortunate to be able to offer your child an opportunity to participate in our Self Sustaining After School Program (SSASP). In an effort to enrich your child’s middle school experience we are offering a variety of extra-curricular activities (see below).



Each program will be held on Tuesday through Friday, from 2:21-3:51 or Wednesday and Thursday nights from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. The cost of each program is $185.00 for a seven (7) week session. Please note some programs may have an additional supply fee.

All proceeds will go to The Making Strides Team 24; Store closes on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. We wear Pink every Wednesday in October.
